Willie Nell Hornbuckle Walton, 68 of Lacey’s Spring, the Morgan City area died Sunday, July 26, 2015 at her residence.

Mrs. Walton was born February 5, 1947 in Marshall County, the daughter of William F. and Dorothy O. Stapler Hornbuckle. She and her husband, Ronald L. “Ron” Walton were married 50 years. She was a homemaker, a lifetime resident of Morgan City area and enjoyed painting, crafts and ceramics.

She is survived her husband: Ronald L. “Ron” Walton; a daughter: Rachel Ann Walton; three grandchildren: Kelsey Abbott, Susan Abbott and Emily Hunt (Jesse); a great grandson: Grayson Hunt; five sisters: Doris Flack, Sheree Benton, Edna Jennings, Helen Oakes and Judy Walls (Roy); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends and neighbors; preceded in death by her parents: William and Dorothy Hornbuckle and two sisters: Dorothy Moore and Delores Edwards.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Highland Baptist Church, Brother Roy Walls, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.

Pallbearers will be Dave Brand, Devon Brand, David Edwards, Dwight Edwards, Jason Moore and Shawn Reed. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Donnie Flack, Randy Hyatt and John Moore.

Visitation will be 12 noon to 2 p.m. also on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Highland Baptist Church.
