FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department has issued a statement regarding fireworks over the Fourth of July Holiday.
Here is how they answered the question “Can you fire fireworks in the city of Florence”:
“FPD is starting to get a lot of calls about fireworks, with several callers being upset that we are not making people stop shooting fireworks and taking those fireworks from them. If you are shooting fireworks, please be courteous to your neighbors, you never know who might have a child trying to sleep or a service member who suffers from PTSD. Below is the city code on when fireworks may be shot in the city.
City Code:
“An individual may detonate fireworks within the city limits between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. of the same days during the fireworks seasons.”
“Firework Season is from June 20 – July 10”
“On July 4th an individual may detonate fireworks within the city limits between the hours of 10:00 a.m. through 11:00 p.m. of the same day;”
