Ralph C. “Red” Davis – Obituary

Ralph C. “Red” Davis, 76, passed in the comfort of his home on Friday, June 26th. He was surrounded by his loved ones and went home to be with his Savior and King, Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Roberts Davis; son, Ricky Davis (Lisa) and two daughters, Beverly Davis and Angela Davis Anderson. Mr. Davis had four grandchildren, Kari Davis, Jasmin Davis Woods (Eric), Beau Lacks (Amber) and Aubrey Davis. His great-grandchildren are Hannah Wilson, Kaydin and Jaxon Woods and Brayden Lacks.
Ralph Davis was born at home in Winston County on July 17, 1938, to the late Wheeler and Nora. He was the oldest of six children, all of which have preceded him in death. His siblings from oldest to youngest were John Davis, Redford Davis, Mary Jewel Warren, Darryl Davis and D.C. Davis.
Ralph worked for Monsanto for 35 years and retired in 1992. He then briefly worked for Fluor Daniel until the call of retirement and his love of fishing were too much.
Ralph was a member of Central Park Baptist Church. Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Sunday at 5 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home. Brother Jackie Kay will officiate. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens.
