ATHENS– Athens Police picked up a suspect from the Brentwood, Tennessee on charges of Possession of a Stolen Car.

Here is how Police Chief Floyd Johnson describe the events leading up to the arrest of one man:

“On June 8, 2015 the police department received a call about a stolen vehicle from the 100 block of Shady Lane. The victim told officers someone took his 2011 BMW without his permission. Investigator Tim McIntire contacted BMW and they tracked the vehicle to Brentwood TN. McIntire contacted the Brentwood police department and gave them the information on the car. A short time later there officer located the BMW and stopped it on I-65. They arrested Allen Marshall for having possession of the stolen car. Investigators Jonathan Caldwell and Mickey Hart traveled to the Brentwood Police department and talked with Marshall. Marshall admitted taking the car due to him being homeless. Yesterday Marshall was released from custody in TN and our department picked him up a Theft of Property 1st degree warrant for taking the vehicle. Marshall was brought back to the police department where he was booked and transferred to the county jail.”
