Walter Waymon Wallace – Obituary

Funeral for Walter Waymon Wallace, age 75, will be Monday, June 15, 2015, at 6 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jesse Reeder and Bob Sims officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. in the chapel.
Mr. Wallace who died June 10, 2015, at his residence, was born February 2, 1940, to Jess Willard Wallace and Christa Smith Wallace. He was a long time Methodist and was most recently a member of Moulton Baptist Church. He worked at Wolverine for years before going to work for Delphi as a maintenance mechanic, where he retired. He was also a life long athlete and he loved restoring antique tractors. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joyce Ann Wallace; sister, Vicki Blankenship; and brother-in-law, Ken Jinks.
Survivors include wife, Alpha Stokes Wallace; son, Wesley Wallace (Megan), Decatur; daughter, Melissa Williams (Lynn), Priceville; step-son, Glenn Johnson, Priceville; grandsons, Andrew Wallace and Dylan Johnson; brother, Jerius Wallace (Daphine), Moulton; and sister, Peggye Jinks, Decatur.
