Wendy Burton King – Obituary

Wendy-King-1433096016Wendy Burton King, 59 of Arab died Sunday, May 31, 2015 in H.M.C. Shepherd’s Cove.

Ms King was born September 27, 1955 in Jackson, Mississippi, the daughter of Lamar and Billie Jean Leslie Burton. Although she was a former resident of Picayune, Mississippi, Wendy has called Arab her home since 1970. She was a graduate of Arab High School, Class of 1973 and a member of Arab First Baptist Church. She worked in sales at a local furniture store.

She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law: Angie King Hamilton (Joe) and Paige King Coker; four grandchildren: Trent Coker, Ethan, Noah and Luke Hamilton; a brother: David Burton; an aunt and uncle: Annie and George Pollock; Preceded In Death by her parents: Lamar and Billie Jean Burton, her grandparents: Clara and Fred Burton and a brother: Billy Raymond Burton.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2015 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, Brother Jermey Patterson, officiating. Burial will be in Brookwood Cemetery, Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.

Pallbearers will be George Pollock, Steve Pollock, Jay Pollock,Victor Pollock, Joe Hamilton and Brad King.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2015 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
