Sgt. Roy Douglas Dean, age 51, of Hazel Green, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday May 26, 2015.
Sgt. Dean retired after serving his country in the US Army. He had a contagious sense of humor and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Sgt. Dean is preceded in death by his parents, Shirley and Patricia Dean; and his sister, Terri Copeland.
Sgt. Dean is survived by his wife, Tammy Dean; his daughters, Patricia Diana Dean and Dorothy Morgan Dean; his brother, Chris Dean; his sister, Lisa Deeb; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday May 31, 2015 at 3pm in the chapel of Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville with Lon Ostrzycki officiating. The family will receive friends on that day from 2pm until 3pm at the funeral home.
