David G. Hardison – Obituary

OI303712318_hardisondavidDavid G. Hardison, age 94 of Lewisburg, died Tuesday, May 19, 2015 in Maury Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Hardison was a native of Marshall County, Tennessee and son of the late Marcus and Sarah Ann Hill Hardison. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.  He retired from Heil Quaker Corporation after forty-one years as an accountant.  He was an auctioneer and realtor for several years, helped organize Marshall County Little League, served as an elder for thirty-nine years in Church Street Church of Christ where he, also, taught the Downtown Men’s Bible Class in the Dixie Theater for many years.  He was a member of the American Legion and the Belfast Lions Club.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sadie Harper. He is survived by his wife, of seventy-two years, Elizabeth Glenn Hardison of Lewisburg, daughter, Janice (Howard) Rosser of Knoxville, son, Glenn (Ginger) Hardison of Lewisburg, sister, Marie McAnnally of Nashville, four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 22, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from the Church Street Church of Christ with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.

The family will be at London Funeral Home Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday at Church Street Church of Christ from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour for visitation.
