Erskin Brown – Obituary

Erskin Brown, 91 of Arab died Saturday, April 11, 2015 in the Floyd E “Tut” Fann State Veterans Home in Huntsville.

Mr. Brown was born December 17, 1923 in Marshall County, the son of Charlie and Beulah Swords Brown. He was married 47 years to the former Gertrue Kilpatrick. He served with Honor and Courage in the United States Army and also in the United States Air Force during World War II.

He was a retired electrician from Redstone Arsenal, a lifetime resident of Arab and a member of Concord Baptist Church in Fairview.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years: Gertrue Brown; two sons and a daughter-in-law: James Earl and Diane Brown and Larry Brown; 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, a great, great grandchild and was preceded in death by a son: Bobby Joe Brown.

Entombment in Brookwood Mausoleum will follow a 2:00 p.m. graveside service at Brookwood Mausoleum, Brother Randy Blakely, officiating, Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.

Visitation will be 12 to 1:30 p.m. at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
