Elizabeth (Liz) Smalley Long, age 96, answered her call to Heaven on March 31, 2015. She married Noel Irby Long in 1940. He preceded her in death in 1996. Liz leaves her daughter, Linda Long Skaarer and husband, Tim Skaarer, two granddaughters, Jenny Lynn Skaarer and Nancy Elizabeth Skaarer-Brown and husband Casey Brown, two great grandchildren, Mary Beth(Elizabeth) Brown and Duncan Robert Brown, all of Oklahoma City, OK. Liz had special caregivers in her later years, dear friend, Mary Ann Fowler and the Inghram family. Also she leaves several nieces and nephews, many of Hardeman County. Liz was the last sibling of seven children, all deceased. Three sisters: Ellis Parsons, Rubye Vincent and Dorothy (Dot) Duncan; Three brothers:J.P., Perry, and Billy Smalley. Liz was a long time, faithful member of Graham Heights Baptist Church(now Still Waters Baptist Church) where she sang in the choir. You would often find Liz working in her backyard garden & tending to her many rose bushes She loved sharing her produce & figs with friends and family. But, most of all, she loved her Lord.
