Oma-Perkins-1427817498Oma Lee Perkins, 85, died on Monday, March 30, 2015 at her daughter’s residence in Bartlett, TN.
Oma Lee was born on June 22, 1929, the daughter of Floyd and Molly Lela Fisher Davis in Decaturville, TN. She was married to Paul Perkins, Jr who preceded her in death in 1981. For many years she was employed with Malone & Hyde and later with Parks Belk. Oma Lee was a long time member of Northside United Methodist Church. She enjoyed working in her yard and took great pride in its appearance. She was an accomplished seamstress, making her children’s clothes in their younger years. Her family also gave her great joy, as she loved to cook and bake for them.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Perkins Bradford (Jim) of Bartlett, TN, Cheryl Denise Perkins of Jackson, TN and Diane Sewell (Steve) of Seattle, WA; two sisters, Betty Jo Holmes of Decaturville, TN and Sue Swift of Reagan, TN; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
SERVICES: A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Northside United Methodist Church with Dr. David Comperry and Dr. Don Thrasher officiating. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum of Highland Memorial Gardens.
The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, April 2, 2015 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service at the church.
