Funeral services for Jewell Dean Parker, age 85 of Hartselle, will be 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2015 in the chapel of Shelton Funeral Home with the Rev. Floyd Odom officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 p.m. till 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Shelton Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Church of God of Addison cemetery.
Ms. Parker was born August 23, 1929 in Winston County, AL to Mr. Archie and Mrs. Carrie Hyde Townson and passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Decatur Morgan Hospital.
She is survived by her sons Donald Ray Hamilton and Larry Glenn Hamilton of Decatur and Ricky Joe Hamilton and Gerald Wayne Hamilton and wife Ann of Hartselle, daughters Nellie Ruth Lewis of Danville and Shirley Joyce Alexander and husband Travis of Decatur, sister Edna Faye Sapp of Decatur, 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
