Winter Weather ….. Snow This Time It’s For Real …. 1 – 5″ Predicted

TENNESSEE VALLEY-Will We need salt for the streets, snow blowers for the sidewalks, or maybe a snowplow to clear major roads?  We here at the Quad Cities Daily think not….but the National Weather Service says we should expect snow…lots of it for the deep south (as in 1-5 inches)… in the words of Fred Sanford “This is the big one Elizabeth!”

WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON
THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING…

* TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED…FROM NOON WEDNESDAY THROUGH
MIDNIGHT THURSDAY…THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS FOR THE
FOLLOWING COUNTIES IN ALABAMA: LAUDERDALE…COLBERT…
FRANKLIN… LIMESTONE…LAWRENCE… MORGAN…CULLMAN…
MADISON…MARSHALL… JACKSON…AND DEKALB COUNTIES.

* ACCUMULATIONS…ON WEDNESDAY…SNOWFALL TOTALS OF 3 TO 5 INCHES OF
SNOW SOUTH OF THE TENNESSEE RIVER…AND 2 TO 3 INCHES OF SNOW
NORTH OF THE TENNESSEE RIVER.

* IMPACTS…WIDESPREAD TRAVEL PROBLEMS WILL BE ANTICIPATED ON
WEDNESDAY…ESPECIALLY DURING THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING HOURS.

A WINTER STORM WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT
