MORGAN COUNTY-The Morgan County Sheriff’s Department arrested on suspicion of stealing patients prescribed medications and reselling them.  Here is how Sheriff Ana Franklin describes the situation:

“Thursday, January 22nd, 2015, Morgan County Drug Task Force Agents along with Hartselle Police Officers executed a narcotics search warrant at 100 Puckett Rd. Apt C in Hartselle. Agents had obtained information from a concerned citizen that Jilandra W. Lindley, who is a LPN nurse at Brookshire Nursing Home in Huntsville, was stealing patients prescribed medications and bringing them back to her residence in Hartselle and selling them to various individuals in Morgan county. Morgan Drug Agents requested assistance from the Madison-Morgan STAC Unit to make contact with Ms. Lindley as she departed her place of employment. STAC agents stopped Lindley for a traffic violation and discovered twenty Hydrocodone pills which is a controlled substance along with several vials of insulin and Clonazepam also a controlled substance. Ms. Lindley was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Theft of Property 2nd. Ms. Lindley is a suspect in thefts of controlled substances from patients at the nursing home and also theft of a sum of money from a patient there. Ms. Lindley has felony charges pending in Huntsville in reference to the theft of money.

Hartselle discovered Christopher Breeding in the apartment along with an 8 month old child. Mr. Breeding was arrested for outstanding warrants with Decatur Police Department. Agents conducted a search of the apartment and discovered numerous prescribed medications belonging to patients from the nursing home where Lindley worked. Morgan Drug Agents have pending charges on Lindley. Ms. Lindley’s bond in Huntsville was set at $10,000.00. This is still an ongoing investigation involving Morgan County and Huntsville authorities. The child was released to relatives.”
