Alma Foster Alexander – Obituary

Alma Foster Alexander, age 86 of Tuscumbia, died Thursday, May 31, 2012. Her family will receive friends Saturday 12-2 p.m. at Red Rock Church of Christ. The funeral service will follow in the church sanctuary with David Conley officiating. Burial will be in Barton Cemetery.

Mrs. Alexander was a Colbert County native and a member of Red Rock Church of Christ. She attended Auburn University and was retired from Colbert County School System. She was preceded in death by her brother, W. O. Foster, sisters Elizabeth Foster, Mary Francis Mitchell, Carolyn Cahoon and her parents, Owen and Alma Counts Foster.

She is survived by her husband, William Haston Alexander, Sr., of Red Rock, son, William H. “Bill” Alexander, Jr. and wife Sylvia of Muscle Shoals, Lucretia Booth and husband Steve, Sarah Carolyn Wilkerson both of Tuscumbia, brother, George W. Foster of Tuscumbia; sisters, Margaret Evans of Ashville, AL, Jane Boozer of Tuscumbia; grandchildren, Robbie Alexander Hyde, William H. “Trey” Alexander III, Emily Pope Parker, Kahl Wilkerson, foster grandson, Jose Martinez, great grandchildren, Aubrey Cain Alexander, Elleck Parker, William Haston Alexander IV, Mary Grissom Hyde and Brock Parker.

Pallbearers will be nephews.

Memorials may be made to Red Rock Church of Christ @ 1845 Red Rock Road, Tuscumbia, AL 35674
