Malcolm Alfred McCullough Jr., age 72, passed away November 16th, 2014 surrounded by his family at the VA Hospital in Birmingham. Affectionately called Mackie, he was the first of seven children born to Malcom Sr. and Margaret F. McCullough. He was born on September 12, 1942, in Ellington, SC, while his father was serving in the Air Force in Germany on the cusp of WWII. As Malcolm grew into a young man, he was inspired by his father, love for his country, and he enlisted in the Army.

Enlisted he did several jumps, and served in the Korean War while patrolling the 38th parallel. After serving his country, Malcolm moved to Florida with his wife, Martha Lee, and daughter, Alexandria. There he cultivated family, friendships, and a happy life for many years. He was loved by all who knew him, and was a man you could count on.

He was a loving father, devoted husband, son, brother and family comedian/instigator. He will be missed dearly by his family, friends, and country. Malcolm Alfred Jr. is again reunited with his wife, Martha Lee, their three baby dachshunds, and their Eternal Father.
