Shirley Aldridge Jordan – Obituary

Mrs. Shirley Aldridge Jordan, age 71, of the Caney Spring Community of Marshall County, died Friday, November 7, 2014 in Columbia, Tennessee. Mrs. Jordan was born in Marshall County and was a daughter of the late George Foster and Martha Adrean Whaley Aldridge. She retired after many years of service to Marshall County Government as a Deputy Register of Deeds. Mrs. Jordan was a member of Caney Spring United Methodist, the United Methodist Women and was a founding member of Marshall County ARC. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by an infant son.

Mrs. Jordan is survived by her husband of 52 years, Mack Jordan; two sons, Mack Allen Jordan, II and Patrick (Cathey) Jordan, all of the Caney Spring Community; sister, Kay Watson, Jacksonville, FL; brothers, Jackie Aldridge, Wayne Aldridge and Ronald Aldridge, all of Lewisburg, TN; grandchildren, Branham Foster Jordan, Adrean Elizabeth Jordan and Sara Ann Jordan.

Family members will receive friends on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 9, 2014 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Christopher officiating. Burial will follow in Allen Cemetery in Caney Spring.
