Florence Woman Charged With Exploitation of Elderly Man

FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department has charged a Florence woman with exploitation of an elderly man.  Here is how they describe the events leading up to the arrest:

“A Florence Woman Charged With Exploitation of Elderly Man; Carolyn Clemons Watson, 42, remains jailed this afternoon after being charged with befriending an elderly man who was suffering from dementia and exploiting his situation to gain over $16,000 US from his bank account. Watson was arrested earlier this year on similar charges. As a result of her most recent arrest a no bond was issued until she can appear before a judge.
