Ida Lee Smith Alexander – Obituary

Ida Lee Smith Alexander, 84, Russellville, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Emeritus Senior Living, Oak Ridge, TN.

Mrs. Alexander was a member of Quinn Church of Christ of Spruce Pine. She was the circuit court registrar for Franklin County for years before deciding to become a teacher. She was an elementary school teacher at Hatton Elementary for 25 years. She loved being a foster parent and foster grand-parent. She was a kind and loving lady who was loved by all who knew her.

The visitation will 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Spry Memorial Chapel, Russellville with the funeral following at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel. Officiating at the chapel service will be Bro. Lonnie Oldag. Bro. Michael Morrow will lead in the graveside prayer at Belgreen Cemetery.

She is survived by her sons, George Carlton Alexander, Samuel J. Alexander (wife, Terri); grandchildren, Gregory Alexander, Audrey Alexander, Bradley Alexander, Samantha Colburn (husband, Randy), Jason Alexander (wife, Stephanie), Seth Alexander, Rebekkah Carter (husband, Josh), Emili Alexander; 7 great-grandchildren; and a host nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Lee & Ida Jane Smith; and 11 brothers and sisters.

The pallbearers will be Randy Colburn, Colby Colburn, Bradley Alexander, and Gregory Alexander.

Spry Memorial Chapel assisted the family.
