Ophelia-Hall-Deere-1414073084Graveside services for Mrs. Ophelia Hall Deere, age 101, are scheduled for 3 PM, Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Hare Cemetery with Dan Hughes officiating. Pafford Funeral Home of Lexington is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Deere passed away early Thursday in Jackson. She was born April 4, 1913 in Henderson County to the late Felix Henry Hall and Elizabeth Appleby Hall. She was a retired teacher for Henderson County and Lexington City School Systems, was a member of Broadway Home Demonstration Club, Book Club, and Fairview Church of Christ. Mrs. Ophelia was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. William Deere, her sister, Mrs. Alice Hall Highfill, and her brother, Mr. Jimmy D. Hall. Survivors include her nieces and nephews, James (Jean) Hall and his children, Betty Hill Hall, and Dean (Carole) Highfill. The family would like to thank the staff at Northcliff Assisted Living for their excellent care. The family will receive friends Saturday form 2-3PM at Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington.
