Martha Ann Underwood, of Florence, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014.
Visitation will be today, 10-11a.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence.
The service will be follow in the chapel at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John McKell officiating.
There will be a private graveside service following at Florence City Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, W.S. Underwood and Viola Slater Underwood, and sisters, Virginia Houdek Martin, Viola E. Sheats Smith, and Dorothy (Dot) Sibley.
She was a registered nurse who worked many years as a public health nurse. After retirement she was a member of The Pilot Club, a civic club that supported many charities other than club work. She also enjoyed world travel, gardening, and attended Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include
sister, Mary Amos, of Muscle Shoals, and Carol Currier, of Knoxville, Tennessee;
brother, William S. Underwood, of Muscle Shoals; and several nieces and nephews.
