William Cranford Center – Obituary

William Cranford Center, 95, of Huntsville passed away Monday at his residence. Bill was a native of Bates, Arkansas and a resident of Madison County for over 15 years. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during World War II. He was employed at Wal-Mart on Hwy 20 in Madison for over 13 years and was affectionately known to everyone as “Mr. Bill”. Survivors include his wife of 32 years: Susie Pearl Center; two sons: John Center and Thomas L. Center; three step-children: Twyla Sawyer Jimerson, Larry Sawyer and Suzzanne Sawyer Reed; one sister: Dorothy Morrow; one half-brother: Buford Center; two grandchildren: James William Center and Olivia Center; 18 step- grandchildren, including three local: Laura Reed Cruce, Matthew Reed and Michael Reed and a host of great-grandchildren. Memorial interment services will be Saturday November 15, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Huntsville Memory Gardens. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the MS Society.
