Many people dream of being scientists when they are kids. Life often takes us in other directions, but nearly everyone can help with scientific research if they want to do so. Dr. Mel Blake, Director of the University of North Alabama Planetarium and Observatory, will discuss several “citizen science” projects that allow members of the public to help research stars and galaxies, the Moon, and life in the oceans and on land. Dr. Blake will focus on the Zooniverse, which streamlines the participation of people to various research projects. Help grow human knowledge by being an amateur scientist!
