SHEFFIELD – In our earlier story about the September 30 unveiling of the historical marker for music icon Percy Sledge and producer Quin Ivy (LINK) we published the first galley of photos from that day. Well, we’ve finally had the chance to cull through a few hundred more and picked the best to publish today.
Last Tuesday was a remarkable day in The Shoals. After the unveiling of the marker, the concert to honor Percy was a triumphant display of the contribution by these two men to the music legacy of Muscle Shoals.

Thank you very much for the excellent, detailed coverage of this and similar music events. It’s a great window into that lovely part of our spinning globe. I noticed that the links to all the photos on this page and the three related pages at the bottom all appear broken and wonder if they’ll be reinstated.
