DECATUR-The Decatur Police made an arrest of a man for Breaking and Entering a Vehicle.   The man received one more charge.  Here is how the Decatur Police describe the event:

SYNOPSIS OF OFFENSE & ARREST:

“On September 18th 2014, the Decatur Police Department received a call about a vehicle getting broken into in the 800 block of 6th Ave SE. When officers arrived, they spoke with the victim who said that someone witnessed a man breaking into her vehicle and taking property within. The witness said that the suspect then left the scene on foot, carrying the victim’s belongings.

The responding officers were able to get a description of the suspect aswell as a direction he was traveling from the witness. A short time later, Officers Lee Hogan and Brandon Ozbolt observed a man in the area matching the description of the suspect. The man, Joshua Dale Biggins, was subseqeuntly identified to be the offender that broke into the victim’s vehicle. Biggins was placed under arrest for Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Vehicle.

Upon the arrest, Biggins began spitting on officers and was charged with one count of Harassment.

He will be transferred to the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $3,000 bond. However, at the time of the arrest, Biggans was on probation and a partially suspended sentence with the Alabama Board of Pardons and Parole for a vehicle theft in July of 2013. It is expected that his probation will be revoked and he will serve his sentence for the vehicle theft in the Alabama Department of Corrections, awaiting a hearing for his latest charge(s).”
