alvinAlvin “Owen “Alexander, 67, of Muscle Shoals, passed away Monday September 15, 2014 at his home after an extended illness. Visitation will be Friday, September 19, from 12-2 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel, with burial to follow at Colbert Memorial Gardens. Brother Charlie James and Brother John Powell will be officiating.

He was preceded in death by his father, Quinton Owen Alexander, son; Stephen Alexander and brother, Bobby Alexander.

Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Linda
Son, Brad (Ginger)
Mother, Elizabeth Mitchell
Five grandchildren, Whitney, Cody, Austin, Drew, and Lauren.

Great-grandson, Brodie
Sister, Sandy Sanders (Randy)
Faithful companion Elvis his beloved dog.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie James, Danny Wylie, Tommy Baker, Billy Dean, Russell Randolph, and Larry Ticer. Honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Pitts, Freddie Pitts, Tom Wallace, Billy Kistner and Lanny Bruce.

He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a friend to everyone he met. Owen was a member of Washington Park Baptist Church. He managed the Meat Department at Big Star and Wilson Grocery store for many years.

Our family gives a special thanks to the staffs of Gentiva Home Health, UAB Hospital, Kirkland Clinic, and Northwest Alabama Cancer Clinic for the care given to our dear loved one.
