MONTGOMERY – Two days ago, September 15, President Barack Obama awarded Opelika resident Bennie Adkins with America’s highest award, the Medal of Honor for his heroic actions in a desperate fight in Vietnam in 1966.
Alabama Governor, Robert Bentley publicly congratulated Adkins in a video, and we present it here.
