Brenda Jane Bridges Smith was born August 17, 1948 in Milledgeville, TN. She was the daughter of the late L. C. Bridges and Loyce Johnson Bridges.
Mrs. Smith died on Thursday, September 11, 2014 after a short illness. She was married for 42 years to her beloved husband Edgar David Smith of Selmer, TN. Brenda had one daughter, Bridgett Smith Andrews and husband Chip, and 2 grandchildren, Peyton and Brittany Andrews, all of Jackson, TN.
Brenda presently attended Union Grove United Methodist Church of Selmer and was a past member of Selmer First United Methodist Church. She had worked at McNairy County General Hospital for 20 plus years and worked at Southwest for the past 20 years.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 from 5 – 8 pm and on Sunday from 1 pm until the service at 3:30 pm, all held at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer, Tennessee, with Rev. Mike Pilcher and Dr. Jim Roper officiating. Burial will follow in the Milledgeville Cemetery at Milledgeville, TN.
