Labor Day Auto Accident Results In Death Of One Cyclist And Injury To Another

share the roadANDERSON-On Monday, September 1st at 8:30 AM an auto accident occurred  on Highway 207 just outside of Anderson.  The accident, according to state troopers was between an auto and two cyclists.  On cyclist was killed and another was injured in the accident.

James Keith Green, 40 of Rogersville died at Athens-Limestone Hospital just after the accident.  Mannon Heath Rogers, 39 of Sheffield was injured and air-lifted to Huntsville Hospital according to authorities. Is condition is unknown at this time.  There was also another cyclist with the men who was not injured in the crash.

The men were hit by an auto driven by Stephen Parker, 47 of Rogersville.  Parker was not injured in the crash. The accident is under investigation by the Quad-Cities State Trooper Post.
