Lee Edwin Morris – Obituary

Lee Edwin Morris, 78, died August 31, 2014 at his home in Madison AL. Lee Morris was born April 13, 1936. Lee was born and raised in Sioux Falls SD. After high school Lee served in the US Navy. After his Navy enlistment was completed he returned to Sioux Falls where he worked for the US Post Office. He married and had four children. While raising a family and working full time Lee attended Sioux Falls College and graduated in 1970. He then moved his family to Phoenix AZ, where still working for the Post Office he was promoted to the position of Postal Inspector. Lee’s Postal Inspector career relocated him to California and later to Colorado. After retiring from the Post Office in 1993 he relocated to Madison Alabama where he remarried. Lee worked in Madison for ten years as a successful realtor. Lee’s favorite saying was “Life is Good”. Lee is survived by his wife of fifteen years Iraida Morris, his first wife Mavis Morris and their children Kevin, Scott, Cyndi and Cheri. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and his step sister Beverly Bjerke. Lee was preceded in death by his father Charles J. Morris, his mother Mary Olive Jensen, his step father Ole Jensen and his step brother Charles Jensen. Lee will be cremated at Berryhill Funeral Home in Huntsville AL and according to his wishes no services are planned. Lee will be greatly missed by his family and friends but they take comfort knowing that he is at peace in heaven.
