Beer and a Book: The Tenth Muse by Judith Jonesthe-tenth-muse

Tuesday, September 16, 6:00 pm

Rivertown Coffee Company

Beer and a Book, sponsored by Florence-Lauderdale Public Library, is a book club focusing on food-themed memoir and literature. This book club meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm at Rivertown Coffee Company. Enjoy beer, wine, or coffee while discussing some great books!

For this meeting, the group will discuss The Tenth Muse by Judith Jones. Jones published Julia Child’s Mastering the Art of French Cooking, much of M.F.K. Fisher’s work, had a hand in pushing John Updike’s work into the world, and rescued Anne Frank’s Diary from the rejection pile. She is an interesting figure, so we should have an interesting discussion!

Beer and a Book is led by Amy Collins, who writes “The Vine” wine column for No’Ala magazine, and about food and wine on her blog Pig&Vine.
