Two Suspects Arrested For Sale Of Illegal Drugs

drug1DECATUR-Decatur Police Department made arrests of two men suspected of selling illegal drugs.  here is how Decatur drug2Police describethe events leading up to and the arrest  of the suspects:

SYNOPSIS OF OFFENSE & ARREST:  “ During April 2014 Investigators with the Decatur Police Department’s Organized Crime Unit received multiple complaints of illegal drug activity that occurred at 611 Bradley St SW in Decatur Alabama.

It was later discovered during the investigation that the occupants were selling several different types of controlled prescription drugs from the residence. The occupants were later identified as Donnie Joe Maynard and Nicolas Sean Knop. Inv. Vance Summers later obtained felony warrants for Distribution of a Controlled Substance for Maynard and Knop.

On August 24, 2014, Officer Derek Annerton located both suspects and placed them under arrest. Maynard was charged with three counts of Distribution of a Controlled Substance. Knop was also charged with three counts of Distribution of a Controlled Substance. Both will later be transferred to the Morgan County Jail where they each will receive a $15,000.00 aggregate bond.”
