DECATUR-On Friday, August 22nd the Decatur Police Department made arrest of two men on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Here is how the Decatur Police describe the arrests:
SYNOPSIS OF OFFENSE & ARREST:
“On August 22, 2014, at approximately 2148hrs, members of the Decatur Police Department’s Anti-Crime Unit were 
patrolling in the area of Decatur Housing Authority (East Acres). Officer Kitchens observed suspicious activity occurring between a male that was standing in the street and the occupants of a vehicle that was parked next to him.
Officers made contact with the suspicious male standing near the vehicle and identified him as William Marty Hood. Officers were also able to make contact with the driver of the vehicle and identified him as Joshua Kenneth Runager. During the course of the investigation, Hood was found to be in the possession of a quantity of prescription medication (controlled substance) without a valid prescription and drug paraphernalia. Runager was found to be in the possession of a quantity of prescription medication (controlled substance) without a valid prescription.
Hood was placed under arrest for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Runager was placed under arrest for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Tampering with Physical Evidence. Both subjects were transported to the Decatur City Jail where they were processed in.
Hood will later be transferred to the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $3,000.00 bond.
Runager will later be transferred to the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $3,000,00 bond.”
