Florene Carson “Sis” Johnson – Obituary

Florene Carson “Sis” Johnson, 88, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Rocky Springs United Methodist Church, and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over fifty years. She was retired from Tishomingo Shoe Company after thirty-five years of employment, and was a former school teacher at Walker Switch and Central Schools. Mrs. Johnson was also previously employed at the Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Department. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, August 3, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 4, 2014, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Rev. Larry Sappington and Rev. Steve DeVore. Interment will follow in Campground Cemetery. Pallbearers include Donnie Carson, Boots Carson, Vernon McCullough, Eddie Johnson, Aaron Carson and. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include one son, William Johnson and wife, Ann, of Iuka; and one grandchild, Wesley Johnson of Chicago, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Johnson; her parents, Lee and Addie Busby Carson; two brothers, Noel and Herman Carson; an infant brother, Euel Wesley Carson; and an infant sister, Ethel Mae Carson.
