William H. “Bill” Hale – Obituary

William H. “Bill” Hale, 78, of Killen died Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at his residence.

Visitation will be Friday, August 1, 2014, at Elkins East Chapel from 11 AM to 1 PM.  Funeral services will follow at 1 PM in the chapel, with his grandson officiating Ashley Pettus.  Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Hale was a graduate of L.C.H.S.  He attended Faith Church.  He was a member of the Killen Masonic Lodge #788 and member of Labor Local #366.  He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Edith Hale; son, Gary Hale; great-granddaughter, Zoe Parker.

Mr. Hale is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Ann Hale; daughters, Rebecca Thigpen (Ray) and Deborah Lawrence (Darrell); son, Rickey Hale (Jackie); daughter-in-law, Paige Stephenson (Randy); sister, Sherry Hill (Donnie); nine grandchildren, Brad Parker (Aundrea), Ashley Pettus (Dara), Nicholas Parker (Amber), Heath Hale (Heather), Blake Maddox, Meghin McDaniel (Matt), Sydney Lawrence, Kayla Hale, and Savannah Martin (Jared); eleven great-grandchildren, Bree, Jaxson, Grayson, Reagan, Liam, Rylan, Heidi, Hayden, Bentlee, Lizzy, and Jaiden; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Brad Parker, Ashley Pettus, Nicholas Parker, Heath Hale, Blake Maddox, Randy Stephenson, and Matt McDaniel.  Honorary pallbearers will be Meghin McDaniel, Sydney Lawrence, Kayla Hale, Savannah Martin, Aundrea Parker, Dara Pettus, Heather Hale, and Hannah Thigpen.

Mr. Hale family would like to express their thanks to Dr. Hollis and his staff.
