William Thomas (Taco) Landers – Obituary

William Thomas (Taco) Landers, 64, of Killen, passed away July 29, 2014, at ECM Hospital in Florence. He was an Instrument Mechanic at TVA-Browns Ferry, of the Church of Christ Faith, a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam Era, a member of IBEW, an avid fisherman, and Graduate of Hatton High School Class of 1968.

Survivors include:

Wife: Helda Barnett Landers

Brother: Grady Bradford – Hot Springs, Arkansas

Sister: Brenda Thompson (Don) – Moulton, Al

Number of Nieces and Nephews

Preceded in death by:

Parents: Henry Thomas and Velma Jewel Landers

Brother: Elvis Landers

Sisters: Ruby Varimes and Fannie Lou Simpson

Visitation will be Thursday, July 31, from 10:00-2:00pm at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00pm at the funeral home with Sonny Owens officiating. Burial will be in Center Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Thompson, Teddy Wilkins, Travis Barnett, Carmon Wilkins, Nathan Wilkins, Danny Simpson, Harold Pool, and Kaleb Wilkins.

The family would like to thank the staff of ECM 6th Floor West, and the Doctors and Staff at the Northwest Alabama Cancer Center.
