Florence/Lauderdale Tourism Receives Organization Of The Year Award

awardFLORENCE-Florence/Lauderdale Tourism, which opened a new state-of-the-art 7,500-square-foot visitors center in June was named Tourism Organization of the Year at the Alabama Governor’s Conference on Tourism.
The conference was held July 19-22 at the Hotel at Auburn University. The award was presented at a banquet on Monday night,. This prestigious award is one of 10 that were given out at the banquet to tourism leaders from throughout the state.
“We’re deeply honored to have been chosen for this award,” said Director Debbie Wilson. “This has been one of the biggest years ever for Florence/Lauderdale Tourism, with the opening of our new visitor center.”
Florence/Lauderdale Tourism has served as the destination marketing organization for the city and county since 1995.
