DECATUR-Decatur Police Department received complaints of drug activity at 402 12th Avenue NW Apartment B in Decatur.  Here is what happened when the Decatur Police Department’s Organized Crime Unit investigated these complaints:

SYNOPSIS OF OFFENSE & ARREST:

“During the months of May and June, 2014, investigators with the Decatur Police Department’s Organized Crime Unit had received complaints of narcotics being sold at 402 12th Avenue NW Apartment B Decatur, AL. Investigators conducted an investigation into the complaints and were able to obtain a narcotics search warrant for the residence.

Operations Unit executed the narcotics search warrant at the residence. While executing the search warrant, investigators made contact with Fabian Bell and Gabrielle Byrd.

During the search of the residence, investigators located a quantity of crack cocaine, powder cocaine, and marijuana. Investigators also located drug paraphernalia throughout the residence that was consistent with the packaging and selling of illicit drugs. A quantity of prescription pills were also located on Byrd’s person.

Fabian Bell was placed under arrest for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bell was transported to the Decatur City Jail where he was booked and held. Bell was later transferred to the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $3,500.00 bond.

Gabrielle Byrd was placed under arrest for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance. Byrd was transported to the Decatur City Jail where she was booked and held. Byrd was later transferred to the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $2,500.00 bond.”
