James Dale Stephenson – Obituary

James Dale Stephenson, of Hamilton, Ala., went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 21, 2014. Jimmy was born in Crawfordsville, Ind. on Aug. 31, 1950. He attended many schools throughout his life. He graduated from Pentecostal Bible Institute in Tupelo, Miss. He was married to Jueil Marie Scott on Aug. 30, 1969.

Throughout his life he was the owner of Floor Master Cleaning Service and a foreman at Speed Rack. Jimmy spent much of the latter part of his life trading, escorting trucks, fabricating his own trailers, and enjoying time with his family.

Jimmy Stephenson was the pastor at Unity Church at Rock Top. “Gods still working on me” was the slogan that Pastor Stephenson conveyed to his congregation many times. Pastor Stephenson was assisted by Tommy Cavendar, who will be the proceeding pastor at Unity Church.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Jueil; and their three sons, James Craig Stephenson, Jeremy Keith Stephenson, and Joshua Corey Stephenson; his three sisters, Dixie Kelly, Donna Jenkins, and Terry Wollven; one brother-in-law, Danny Kelly; one daughter-in-law, Sylvia Stephenson; four grandchildren, Derek Cole, Erica Roberts, Amberily Roberts, and Brooklyn Stephenson; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, daughter-in-law, Sophia Stephenson, and brother-in-law, Doyle Jenkins.

Services will be at Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel. The visitation will be 6-9 p.m. today. The funeral will be 4:30 p.m. Friday, with burial in Antioch Cemetery.
