Bettye Alice Woodis, 81, of Tuscumbia, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014. Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Tuesday at 11 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Allsboro Cemetery.
Mrs. Woodis was a retired nurse from Shoals Hospital and a member of First United Methodist Church of Tuscumbia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Woodis; son, Harry Woodis; parents, Thomas Edgar and Rosa Estelle McCormack and brother, Aulton McCormack.
She is survived by her sons, Eddie Woodis and Jessie Woodis (Mary); three grandchildren, Jessica Woodis, Emily Parker (Joey) and Parker Daniil Woodis; sister-in-law, Beverly Woodis; nephews, Phillip McCormack (Sherry) and Don McCormack (Vicki); niece, Karen Corsby (Bob) and her beloved pet, Bella.
The family expresses special thanks to her caregivers, Lyn McGee, Mary Horton, Elizabeth Stevenson and Katie Gates.
