Martha Jane Foster Ricketts – Obituary

Martha Jane Foster Ricketts was born in Alcorn County, Mississippi on August 27, 1954, the daughter of Harry Leander Foster and Martha Pearl Loyd Prater.

Martha had lived in Hardin County, Tennessee for 14 years, but had lived most of her life in Wayne County. She had worked at Brown Shoe Company in Waynesboro, Tennessee and enjoyed sewing, cross-stitching, Indian dolls, and her dog, Abbie.

Martha is survived by her parents, Harry Leander Foster of Corinth, Mississippi; mother, Martha Pearl Loyd Prater of Clifton, Tennessee; sons, Michael Shane Risner and wife, Melinda of Crump, Tennessee, and Carlton Gene Risner of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Breanna Gatlin, Tea’ Faith Risner, and Noah Casteel; brothers, Timothy Dewayne Prater, Connie H. Prater, Jr. and wife, Mary, and Allen Kirk Prater all of Clifton, Tennessee; half sister, Glenda Prater Nichols of Columbia, Tennessee; nieces, Katie Elizabeth Prater of Clifton, Tennessee and Anna Claire Durbin of Adamsville, Tennessee; a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Ricketts and stepfather, Connie H. Prater, Sr.
