Fred Lou Mason was born to Ms. Lonnie Mae Mason on September 22, 1926. He departed this life on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the McNairy County Healthcare Center in Selmer, TN.

He was a hard worker and was employed at Corinth Head Start, Independence Printing Company and the Cotton Seed Gin. He also was a lead singer in a gospel quartet group that traveled many places singing for the glory of God.

Mr. Mason was baptized on April 1, 2014 in “Jesus Name” by Bishop Ferdinand Gant at New Jerusalem Faith Apostolic Church in Selmer, TN.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Ms. Lonnie Mae Mason; two daughters, Mattie Mae Gunn of Corinth, MS and Lillie Mae Hayslett of Selmer, TN; two grandchildren, Alice Gunn and John Neal Jr. of Corinth, MS; a brother-in-law, John Chandler of Memphis, TN.

Mr. Mason leaves to cherish his memories, a loving and faithful wife, Rosie Lee Brown Mason; two sons, John Neal of Corinth, MS and James A. Hunt of Selmer, TN; a sister, Alice Chandler of Memphis, TN; three nieces, Belinda (Arthur) Mason, Freida (George) Jones, and Sheila Taylor all of Memphis, TN; eleven grandchildren, Elisher Irons, Vannis Gunn, Mattie Gunn, Marcus Neal, Celia Neal, Matthew Neal, Michael Neal, George Hayslett, Walter Hayslett, Patricia Westbrooks (Steve), and Thomas Hayslett; 20 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren.
