Concerned Neighbors Call Sheriff’s Office… Meth Lab Shut Down

Morgan-county-featuredLACEY’S SPRING-The Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputies were responding to a call regarding a strong chemical odor coming from the residence of 120 Amherst Drive in Lacey’s Spring, Alabama.  Here is how Sheriff Ana Franklin Describes events leading up to the arrest of four individuals:

 

“On March 20, 2014 Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 120 Amherst Drive, Lacey Springs, Al., in reference to a strong chemical odor emanating from the residence. Sheriff’s Deputies arrive and observed a chemical cloud emanating from the residence. Deputies entered the residence and apprehended a Steve Travis McBride, Matthew Wayne Fowler, Teresa Ann McCord and Bradley Michael Hudson. Deputies notified the Morgan County Drug Task Force. The Drug Task Force responded to the scene and executed a search warrant at the residence. Agents discovered an active one-pot methamphetamine laboratory, gas generator, lye, ammonia nitrate, camp fuel, funnels, plastic tubing, lithium batteries and other laboratory reagents. Agents discovered a large quantity of methamphetamine. All four subjects were decontaminated by the Lacey’s Spring Volunteer Fire Department.
