Forrest “Dyke” McCulloch – Obituary

Forrest “Dyke” McCulloch, 89, of Huntsville, passed away Wednesday at home. Mr. McCulloch was a native Huntsvillian and a member of First United Methodist Church. He attended Texas A&M University and received his degree in engineering from Auburn University. Mr. McCulloch was a decorated veteran of World War II, having served with the 12th Armored Division in Europe. He was a past member of the Acme Club and the Kiwanis Club of Huntsville. He retired from the Army Strategic Defense Command in 1980 where he served as a Senior Engineer.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Risher McCulloch; son, Jim McCulloch of Huntsville; daughters, Kim Willett (Bob) of Mobile and Anna Dinwiddie (Rusty) of Huntsville; son-in-law, Jim Hess; sister, Virginia Brosemer of Elora, TN; grandchildren, Rebecca, Caroline and Robert Willett, Adam (Cile), Rachel and Abigail Hess, and Meagan and Forrest (Allison) Dinwiddie; and great-grandchildren, Paul and Campbell Hess. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Caroline Hess.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Huntsville Botanical Garden, First United Methodist Church or the Huntsville Public Library.
