Kenneth ‘Kinky’ Elmore – Obituary

Kenneth ‘Kinky’ Elmore, 79, of Huntsville, passed away Wednesday. Mr. Elmore was preceded in death by his father, Jake Elmore and son, Willie Elmore. Mr. Elmore served 4 years in the US Air Force where he played football. After retirement he returned to Huntsville where he was real active in golfing, bowling and softball. He also enjoyed performing and singing in clubs in the area.

Survivors include wife, Mary Elmore; mother, Hazel Elmore; stepdaughters, Cynthia Harper (Jeff) and Kay Leake (Don); stepson, John W. Hughes (Judy); brothers, Marion ‘Buddy’ Elmore (Doris) and Micky Elmore (Ronnie); sister, Judy Elmore; grandchildren, Jamie, Jill, Jackie and Morgan; step grandchildren, Billy, Amanda, Allison, Katie, and Emily; step great-grandchildren, Brynnlee and Carolina Blue.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:30 Monday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Inc.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your favorite charity or Habitat for Humanity.
