FLORENCE-A couple of events that are upcoming for March that will be especially fun for children.

storytimeSaturday Storytime: Meet Author Sabrina Hayes
Saturday, March 15, 10:30 am (book signing through 12:30 pm)
Join us for story time under the trees as local children’s author Sabrina Hayes reads her book Saturday Morning and Sneaky, which tells the story of Sneaky the cat. After the story time, Sabrina will be available to sell and sign books until 12:30 pm. For more information, call 256-764-6564, ext. 14 or 28.

Book Signing and Mini Workshopsteph
With Children’s Author Stephanie Armiger

Want to meet a children’s author and get tips on writing your own books? Local author Stephanie Armiger will visit FLPL to discuss her books and to lead a mini workshop on writing. Stephanie wrote and illustrated I, Annie Moore: Ellis Island’s First Immigrant,  the only book on the first immigrant who went through Ellis Island. She is also the author of A Devil in the Pines, a book about the legend of the Jersey Devil.

Stephanie Armiger is an award-winning author and illustrator and a mother of four. She was born and raised in Cologne, New Jersey and recently moved to Alabama. Stephanie studied art in college and is a graduate of the Institute of Children’s Literature.
