FLORENCE-Florence-Lauderdale Public Library will be hosting A Book Lover’s Evening on Thursday, February
13, at 6:00 pm. Celebrate Valentine’s Day with guest speaker Don Noble, the host of APT’s Bookmark, as you enjoy a delicious dinner catered by Jeff Eubanks of City Hardware. Tickets are $40 each and must be purchased in advance by visiting the library’s Circulation Desk or by calling 256-764-6564, ext. 10.
A Book Lover’s Evening is the perfect event for couples or friends who enjoy literary discussion with their fine dining. Proceeds from this event will support library programs for children’s reading enrichment.
Don Noble has been the host of the Emmy-nominated literary interview show Bookmark on Alabama Public Television since 1988. For more than a decade, his weekly reviews of fiction and non-fiction have been broadcast on Alabama Public Radio. He is the editor of books about John Steinbeck, Zelda and F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway, and other literary subjects. Noble serves on the Board of Directors of the Fitzgerald Museum in Montgomery, Alabama, and is on the Advisory Board for the Alabama Center for the Book.
