JimmyJimmy Dale Parker, 72, died Tuesday December 10, 2013 at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born March 16, 1941 in Marion, AL on to Sam and Dora Belcher Parker. At 21 he moved to Arkansas where he met his wife, Sarah Miller Parker. They moved to Lee County in 1970. He was an active member of Oak Valley Christian Church and enjoyed playing dominoes with his church buddies. He also enjoyed watching wrestling, his dog, Gigi and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Services will be 1 pm Friday at the Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Danny Gardner officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Sarah Miller Parker of Shannon, two children, Michael Parker (Ruby) of Littleville, AL and Theresa Lyle (Jerry) of Shannon; a sister, Helen Powell of Osceola, AR; a brother, Travis Parker of Monette, AR; and a sister-in-law, Mary Kay Parker of Vicksburg; five grandchildren, Candice Gullick, Jamie Parker, Corey Petty (Valerie), Sam Cody Parker and Dakota Parker; two great-grandchildren, Kaylynn Fisk and Kellan Petty; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jessie Earl Parker, a sister-in-law, Norma Parker; and a brother-in-law, Leonard Powell.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Hester, Larry Ryan, Danny Dunaway, Buddy Grubbs, Larry Sinner, and Jimmy Tackett. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Harville, Joe Hall, Buddy Edwards, and Junior Ivy.

Visitation will be 4-7 pm Thursday.
