Funeral service for Ann Newton Slate, 70, will be Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Joe Courville officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Bethel Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, December 7, 2013 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
Ms. Slate died on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Decatur General Hospital. She was born May 24, 1943, in Atlanta, Georgia to James Awtry Newton and Cecile Warner Slate. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her parents.
