ARAB-There will be a memorial service held for country music star Wayne Mills who was shot in Nashville on November 23. The memorial service will be held this weekend at Arab High School. visitation will be on Sunday December 8th from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm in the auditorium with the memorial service to follow at 1:30 pm.
Arab High School is located at 511 Arabian Drive in Arab. There will be no photography or video allowed during the service and all cell phones must be turned off.
Wayne Mills was a native of Arab, Alabama and a graduate of Arab High School. He was the lead singer for the Wayne Mills Band and was shot by Chris Ferrell owner of the Pit and Barrel bar in Nashville. Ferrell said he shot Mills in self-defence and to date has not been charged with the shooting. Mills is survived by his wife Carol and their son who reside in Nolensville, Tennessee.
